Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers the singer has created. Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional recognition. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano that was in her basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to play music only for fun or for the sake of growing, but that she must take it seriously. In order to do so, she began writing songs that were her own creations. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favorite songwriters. After her mother said that the songs she wrote were not meant to make her famous rather to help individuals to recognize their own value and impact on our world at large, she began playing them on stage. She began playing the piano at age six and creating music when she was nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. As she says, she loves writing music. For her, music is the best way to feel anything.
